The Danish Government considers eco-innovation to play a crucial role in relation to greening the economy. It is the ambition that Denmark should be a place for demonstration of new technologies developed through partnerships between the public and the private sector. In support of this ambition 50 mio. DKK is allocated in the State Budget 2012 for a new Ecoinnovation Programme. The programme should contribute to the green change in Denmark. Target areas are expected to be water, chemicals, waste, air pollution, noise and city infrastructure. The framework for the initiative will be developed during the spring 2012.
